This coffee/ espresso made from monsooned coffee is a true rarity: The traditional "monsooning" process naturally transforms the bean, giving it its characteristic straw-yellow color and unique flavor profile. Originating from a historic "transport defect," this coffee is now a highly prized specialty.
The hot, humid climate on India's Malabar Coast results in a gentle fermentation , which gives the coffee a particularly mild acidity , a balanced body and finely tuned aromas of chocolate and roasted walnut .
Thanks to our particularly gentle roasting at low temperatures, the complex interplay of aromas is fully preserved.
