Monsooned Gold is a very special coffee from India's Malabar Coast – and the mildest coffee in our range. With its delicate golden yellow color and a particularly smooth, round character, it's ideal for coffee lovers who are sensitive to acidity or who seek a particularly gentle experience.

What does “monsooned” mean?
This rare specialty owes its name and character to an old, traditional process:
In the past, coffee changed during the months-long voyage from India to Europe – its color, aroma, and flavor were influenced by humidity and sea air. This natural "aging" was later deliberately imitated:

The beans are exposed to the humid monsoon climate in open warehouses
