Cold Brew Coffee Recipe – Easy & Delicious with the Hario Bottle

With just two ingredients and a little patience, you can conjure up an aromatic summer drink – perfect for coffee lovers who prefer a smooth yet intense flavor. This recipe works particularly well with our " Ethiopia Summer " (for a fruity version) or " Colombia Arhuacos " (for a chocolatey note) from our range.

Ingredients for your perfect cold brew:

  • 60–70 g ground coffee (preferably filter grind)

  • 600 ml cold water

Preparation – How to make your cold brew:

  1. Pour in coffee
    Pour the ground coffee into the filter sieve of the Hario Cold Brew bottle .

  2. Add water
    Slowly pour in 600 ml of cold water until the coffee is completely wet.

  3. To let go
    Close the bottle and place it in the refrigerator for 12-15 hours (or overnight) .

  4. Serve & enjoy
    Remove the filter and enjoy your cold brew neat, on ice or with muscovado raw cane sugar (1 tsp to 200ml).

Barista tip:

  1. It is best to take the cold brew out of the refrigerator half an hour to an hour before consumption.
  2. Your cold brew will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days – ideal for preparing and taking with you!
  3. It is best to enjoy the cold brew without ice cubes, as temperatures that are too cold numb the taste buds and therefore less flavor is noticeable.
